Welcome Letter to the Au Pair

Hi!

We are Floris, Veerle, and our two daughters, Fien (4) and Marie (1). We live in a cozy village in the south of the Netherlands, just a 10-minute bike ride from the main city in Noord-Brabant.

As a family, we are a mix of a little bit chaotic and a lot of fun! Both of us work, but we are also home a lot, so there’s always a lively and relaxed atmosphere in our house. We are down-to-earth, easygoing people who enjoy spending time together.

We already have experience with an au pair, and for our second year, we are looking for someone who truly enjoys being around children. Our ideal au pair is warm, responsible, and has a natural authority with kids. We don’t expect you to raise our children but to follow our rules and be a reliable babysitter whom they trust.

Besides childcare, we ask for help with light household tasks and the kids’ laundry. At the same time, we value our family time, so you will have plenty of free time to explore the Netherlands and enjoy your stay here.

Job Description

You will be working Monday to Friday (5 days a week). Two days a week, you will take full care of the kids. On other days, your tasks include:

-Preparing breakfast and making sure school items are ready in the morning
-Bringing and picking up the kids from daycare/school
-Preparing dinner
-Helping with light household tasks and the kids’ laundry

You will be workin 30hours per week

ou will have plenty of space in our home! Your private floor (65m²) includes a bed, couch, TV, desk, fridge, and microwave. You will share the toilet and bathroom with the kids, but for the rest, you are welcome to use all our house facilities, including the pool, spa, and gym.
