We do respect everyone here, but we want to make sure that we get a good match to find out a fifth family member.
So please read our profile carefully:
- German language (basics at least)
- Swimming skills are necessary
- Bike riding skills are necessary

First and foremost, we want you to settle in quickly and feel comfortable with us. We will do our best to make that happen.
Only then do we know that you will fully participate in our everyday life.
After all, you live under the same roof with us and take care of our two greatest treasures.
If that's not the case, we'd like you to communicate openly and honestly with us so we can change that.
After all, we want to improve daily and be good host parents.
You will be primarily responsible for Hannes (2 years old) and Paul (4 years old) and all the tasks that arise from them.
Dressing and undressing, preparing meals, changing diapers, washing, brushing teeth, playing, looking after them alone when we're away, etc.
Therefore, you should have some experience and empathy when dealing with small children.
Of course, there are rules and boundaries, both ours and yours, which must be clearly defined so that the two don't get on your nerves.
Of course, we want an au pair with a good grasp of things, meaning you can complete tasks/work on your own without our help. Whether loading or unloading the dishwasher, taking out the trash, setting/clearing the table, or preparing meals should be as much a part of your daily routine as it is for us.
You are a family member and must do your part to ensure our daily routine is managed.
We know that every beginning is difficult, but we also have expectations, which means we place great value on order and cleanliness and that our daily routine is quickly understood and implemented. We do not tolerate laziness or even ignorance. We also expect honest communication, which means if you are not feeling well, are having trouble, or don't understand something, please let us know.
Unfortunately, we have had the experience of many things being broken or thoughtlessly wasted. Since everything is very expensive in Germany (Europe), we want you to know exactly what and how to do things to avoid damage.
