Welcome Letter to the Au Pair

Hello!
We are a multicultural family of three living in a newly renovated home filled with love and adventure. Franzi (36) is German, Claudio (37) is Italian, and our little daughter Luna was born in February 2024. We also have a cat named Percy, who loves exploring the outdoors.
Claudio runs a business focused on plant and water walls to improve room climates, while Franzi leads an IT company and works mostly from home. Family is at the heart of everything we do, and we cherish spending time together, especially with Luna’s grandparents and extended family. We enjoy outdoor activities like walking and swimming, as well as cooking and savoring delicious meals with family and friends.

We live in Walheim, Baden-Württemberg, a charming town with convenient connections. There is a train station in Walheim with direct links to Stuttgart and Heilbronn, both reachable within 30 minutes. The nearest larger city, Bietigheim-Bissingen, is just a 10-minute drive away, offering easy access to more amenities and activities.

Job Description

We are seeking a friendly and caring au pair who would like to become an integral part of our family. Your primary responsibility will be taking care of Luna while both parents work. We’d also appreciate some help with light household chores. Since Claudio is Italian, we want Luna to grow up familiar with both German and Italian languages, so speaking Italian would be a wonderful plus. Franzi is also interested in learning a bit of Italian!

Requirements:

- Taking care of Luna during work hours, engaging her in activities, and supporting her development.
- Light Housekeeping: Assisting with basic household tasks.
- Language Skills: Italian language skills would be beneficial for helping Luna learn both German and Italian.
- Driver’s License: A driver's license is preferred for errands like grocery shopping and occasional outings with Luna. A car will be provided for these purposes.

You will have your own private, fully furnished bedroom (approximately 25 square meters) and a private bathroom located on the attic floor of our home, which also houses an office. This setup provides you with a comfortable and private space to relax when you’re not helping with Luna or household tasks.
