Work abroad in Lisa's family for 10-12 Months starting from Apr 2023 as an Au Pair to take care of 1 children of 11 - 14 years old in Wantage, Oxfordshire United Kingdom

We are looking for an au pair to join our family! We are a small family of 4 (Graeme (46), Lisa (42), George (12) and Poppy the Cocker Spaniel (14)). We are hoping to find someone who is good with dogs as this is a major part of the role. We would expect someone to be able to help out with child care, school runs aren't essential if the candidate is unable to drive, but this would be an advantage (the family car is an automatic), however there are frequent buses into Oxford.

Graeme attends farmers markets most weekends in Oxford where he sells healthy vegetarian/vegan salads, houmous, dips, olives, falafel & soups. As a result there is opportunity to join him to experience the culture, history and architectural splendour of the city. Those seeking extra income may also be able to lend a hand either in the kitchen or at market where you get to meet people from many different cultures. Lisa is the only vegetarian in the household.

We have recently started trading from a catering trailer Monday to Friday at a local Business Park, if the au pair wants to they can help out here with taking orders and making barista coffee etc. A good opportunity to earn extra money and improve English.

George (like his parents) is quite quiet and shy to start with but once he gets to know people is more relaxed and fun to be with, he is sensitive and caring, also incredibly polite and well mannered, of course he does have his moments which don't last long. He loves playing and is into Lego, Minecraft, Nerf guns etc and while enjoys electronic entertainment, he also has a wonderful imagination by which he can amuse himself for hours. He is very fond of his "big sister" Poppy our dog who as she gets older loves nothing better than to know there is someone around, she's a real part of the family and hates being on her own and is often allowed on the sofa for a cuddle!
