Welcome Letter to the Au Pair

This new year is going to be a very exciting year for all of us. I am Annie and I am a working single-mom. My mother, Nana lives with me and my 5.5yo son Carter. Nana was full-time caregiver for my son when I work. We had a wonderful German Au Pair went home in March 2020 when COVID pandemic started. We are still friends with Lisa and she would have come back but she had a baby.

Ideally we are seeking an Au Pair who will love Carter like family and be conformable on a farm with many animals. Our Au Pair, Lisa was part of our family. We believe in honesty and open communication. We will do our very best to make you feel like part of the family!

Job Description

My son is in Kindergarten in town 8AM-3PM about 12-15 minutes away. Carter is very active and has ADHD. I usually work 2-4 days a week, leaving 5:30AM and back home 4:30-7:30PM. Some sport activities in afternoons, lacrosse starting in March. Childcare needed in mornings and afternoons mostly as child will be in school weekdays 8AM-3PM.

Carter is a very active boy and loves to be outside building things and also playing with the many animals. Au Pair must be comfortable with dogs and other animals. It will take a lot of creativity and energy to keep up with Carter. Creating games, and other crafts and activities. Carter also participates in swimming, lacrosse and horse-back riding. Child is extremely smart, empathetic and athletic but very busy.
