Hello! We are a family of four and live on a farm in northern Germany near the city of Braunschweig. We are looking for an au-pair for 12-24 month to help with the childcare for our two children in the mornings from Monday to Friday. We have a young daughter who will be 2 years old this summer and a young son who is currently 3 months old. Our dog, Martha, also lives in our house. On the weekends, you have time for yourself. You can also help on the farm if you like! We offer board and lodging, a room with a private bathroom, a language course, insurance and additional 330 Euros per month.
For leisure activities, the three closest cities to our home are Gifhorn (10 km), Braunschweig (20 km), and Wolfsburg (15 km). Various buses run in our village, and you are welcome to use our car. For short trips and travel, the major cities of Hanover (45 minutes by train), Berlin (2 hours by train), and Hamburg (3 hours by train) are easily accessible.
Arne's father still runs an active farm on the farm. He grows grain and beets. You can experience idyllic village life with us, but there are also many leisure activities. The village has a sports club that offers almost all sports. If you're interested in horses, there's the opportunity to go horseback riding. The region has many rivers where you can canoe, and there are also lakes and swimming pools nearby. The surrounding towns offer many cultural opportunities: museums, many shops, bars, clubs, and venues where concerts are regularly held. We also have a number of groups in the village working on a variety of topics. For example, there is an environmental group, language groups, and a group that shapes village life and plans events.
