Work abroad in Andreas's family for 12-24 Months starting from Oct 2025 as an Au Pair to take care of 2 children of 1 - 5 years old & 6 - 10 years old in Wasenbruck, Lower Austria Austria

We do not require specific skills or experiences. You will be part of our family during the time you are here. We plan and hope that you will have enough time for yourself and for learning German at the University of Vienna at the language Institute. You will live in a small appartment of your own. You can attend language courses every day from 09:30/10:00 to 14:00 and from 16:00 till in the evening.

There are two separate activities:

1. Every day, walk one daughter to school from 8:00 to 9:00 a.m. through two beautiful, safe parks and take the subway and tram, then pick her up again at 2:30 p.m. and spend 1 to 2 hours together writing, doing math, crafting, painting, shopping, or going for a walk. The weekly working time is therefore a maximum of 12 hours, with an additional 10 hours of travel time without the daughter, whereby the travel time can also be the travel time to the University of Vienna for language courses if these take place between 9:30/10:00 a.m. and 2:00 p.m.

2 p.m. on a voluntary basis and without any time commitment, spending up to a maximum of 12 additional hours with the two younger daughters (aged 2 and 11). The main purpose here is to relieve the mother so that she does not have to work 24 hours a day without any breaks or free time. This allows for flexibility in terms of time.

The total actual weekly working time is therefore a maximum of 24 hours plus travel time, with the hours generally spread over Monday to Friday and Saturdays and Sundays off, although this can be arranged differently in the second household.

Very useful (but not required) are the skills to swim and to drive (driving licence).

We do not expect any special prior knowledge of childcare, but we do expect attentiveness, reliability, and responsibility.
