Welcome Letter to the Au Pair

Hello! We are Tash and Joe and we are looking for an au pair to join our family from September 2025.
This past year we have been living in Bali for Tash's maternity leave, but we will be back to our corporate jobs (swapping the coconuts for coffee..!) in September and need some help with the nursery/school collection and drop offs as well as Sunday mornings. We are looking for a kind and responsible au pair to help our family manage the childcare juggle, in exchange for a relaxed and happy home to live in. We have a large goldendoodle called Babka so you will need to be an animal lover! We are a Kosher family and need someone who will be respectful of this. We are located in beautiful West Hampstead, Camden which is very close to central London with fantastic transport links across 4 different tube and train lines, as well as hundreds of buses. People come from other areas in London to experience the cafes of West Hampstead so it is really an enviable location!

Job Description

You must first and foremost be kind :)
We are happy to work with intermediate English but the children need to be able to communicate with you.
The role is Monday - Thursday:
8.30 - 9AM drop off our 4 year old to primary school. This is one bus outside our house, 10 minutes directly to the school.
9AM-9.30 walk Babka around the park next door (10 minute loop).

3.15-4.15PM Collect our 4 year old (he finishes at 3.40). Same bus journey in reverse!
We will collect our 1 year old from nursery at 4PM as this is next door our house.
4.15-5PM - au pair give both children a snack in front of the TV and everybody relax.
5PM - 6.30PM Tash finished work and aupair and Tash give children dinner and bath time together.
This is 4.5 hours per day work. Monday - Thursday.

Fridays:
8.30 - 9AM drop off our 4 year old to primary school. This is one bus outside our house, 10 minutes directly to the school.
9AM-9.30 walk Babka around the park next door (10 minute loop).
Collection from school on Fridays 12PM-1PM (he finishes at 12.30).
1PM-3PM Take him to activity (pe-booked class like ballet/arts or softplay/playground) and then for a snack in a cafe.
3PM return home and leave son watching TV as both parents at home.
3.45PM - Aupair collect youngest from nursery 4PM finish.
4PM - 5PM au pair help Tash get the kids bathed and ready for Shabbat dinner.
This is 5 hours work every Friday.

Sundays:
9.30 - 12.30 - Au pair take 4 year old son to a pre-booked class like ballet/arts or softplay/playground) and then for a snack in a cafe returning home for lunch.
3 hours every Sunday.

Total working hours are 26 hours per week.

Accommodation

We have just bought our house in West Hampstead, where you will have your own bedroom overlooking the garden.
We have a family bathroom and a seperate upstairs toilet. We will give you lots of privacy and always be very respectful of your space. If you need anything to make your stay more comfortable, just let us know and we will try to provide this!
We have a weekly cleaner so your sheets and towels will be changed, your bin emptied and your carpet hoovered every Wednesday. You can do your washing as is convenient to you using our washer/drier machine.
