Welcome Letter to the Au Pair

We are a young Swiss-Finnish family with two wonderful children: Victoria (May 2019) and William (July 2021). We are looking for a child loving au pair that looks after our kids after the pre-school and brings Victoria to her hobbies. Ideally the au pair would be from Finnland to speak Finnish with our kids but we would also love an italian, english, croatian or spanish speaking au pair to teach our children a new language/culture.

We live 15 minutes from Zürich city in a lovely little village called Wettswil am Albis ns a 220qm/3 floor house with a garden. We have just purchased the house and are now working on the garden to make it our home.

We have a second home in Piemonte vine region in Italian country side (an old cascina that we are slowly renovation). This is 4-5 hours drive away from Zürich and we visit Italy atleast once a month in spring, summer and autumn.

Job Description

The job ist to take care of our children from Thursday to Friday and prepare easy meals for the children.

Mondays are normally free for hobbies/language school/long weekends, as the mom is at home with the kids on Mondays.

From Tuesday to Friday to week is as following:

Victoria (4,5) is in pre-school 400m away from 8-11.45 and once a wek in the afternoon. The job includes to walk her to school before 8 in the morning (5 min), prepare her lunch and get her at 11.45. Afterwards to play with/superwise her in the afternoon/bring her to hobbies. Victoria loved to draw, dance, sing and play outside. She is the most kind child you can imagine, very intelligent, smart and loving. She loves people but is very shy in the beginning.

William (2,5) is at home Tuesday, Wednesday afternoon, Thursday and Friday. The job includes to play with william in the house/garden, visit playgrounds, play groups and other kids activities with him. William is very active and loving child. he loves to play football, all sports, go out to nature/playground and play with cars.

We also expect the au Pait to make the children easy lunch dishes and prepare snacks and to clean afterwards the kichen/own/children stuff.

We also appriciate babysitting once/twice a month on a Friday/Saturday night. This work is paid extra with 15 CHF an hour, when the kids are awake or 10 CHF an while they sleep.

We also offer the Au Pair 4 weeks of paid holiday.
