Welcome Letter to the Au Pair

We are a friendly, honest, hardworking and loving farming family on a 100 hectare livestock farm, with sheep, cows and pets. My husband runs the farm and I work 3 days per week as a family doctor in the nearest large town. I (mother Rachel) suffered a fractured-dislocated shoulder from a skiing accident on 18/12/24, and so we urgently seek a willing, flexible and reliable helper of high integrity for the first few months of 2025. He/she must be a safe and experienced driver, as I am unable to drive due to the injury. Our children are very active with confirmed neurodiversity and are developing fast. We love the countryside, walking, cycling and the outdoor life.

Job Description

Key duties are:
to help take care of the children, especially in preparing them for school and after return from school
to drive the children to school or the school bus pick-up point, and pick them up at the end of the school day; and for extra curricular activities.
to drive Rachel to work, and pick her up from work, on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday.
to assist the household with light domestic duties, both directly and working with the older children, including putting the washing through the machine and out to dry; helping to put out and clear away breakfast and tea-supper; helping children to tidy away.
