Dear Future Au Pair,

We live in a idilic village in the beautiful countryside of York, in North Yorkshire. Search on Google “Castle Howard”, we are five minutes from this stately home. Malton market town is 10 minutes away. York city centre is 20 minutes away, and there are lots of other shops/pubs/restaurants nearby. York is one of the most historic and sought after cities to visit in the north of England. It is a vibrant and fun city, with a good number of trendy bars and restaurants, as well as lots of history and culture with the famous Minster at the heart. It has a great university that attracts a lot of international students, if study is something you want to do on the side. London by train is a 2 hour journey direct into King’s Cross station.


This role would suit someone looking for the best of both worlds, a beautiful country side setting with easy links to town and city life.

We both work from home Monday to Friday and would be available most of the time during this time if needed. Possible weekend work on occasion would be required.


We have lots of friends and family close by, so there will be many occasions to socialise and meet new people. But also ok for someone who likes their own space and time. We would be an ideal choice if you are wanting to travel and see different parts of the UK as we have plenty of friends you can stay with around the UK free of charge, in London etc.
