Job Description

Due to Swiss au pair rules, we can only accept au pairs with EU passports that aren’t from native English, Danish or German speaking countries. We will sponsor German classes and expect the au pair to work 30 hours per week, with one of us at home at least half the time (per Swiss laws). As far as the job goes, we would expect the au pair to look after the baby while we are working, with long breaks at lunch and if required do some of the baby‘s laundry and food preparation. The au pair doesn’t need to be able to drive, since we have lots of public transport around us. We prefer if the au pair can swim since we live next to a lake and also the au pair cannot smoke. Any familiarity with the danish, Swedish or Norwegian languages is a plus since we would like the baby to be familiar with them growing up. If we are on vacation and do not bring the au pair, they can take holidays or stay at home and look after the cats! As far as non-working time, the au pair can do as they please so long as they aren’t disruptive if returning late at night :)

Accommodation

The au pair would have their own room and own TV. We have two bathrooms, so the au pair would share with the baby and guests. We have a home gym with a treadmill, rowing machine, spinning bike and Technogym bench, all of which the au pair can use. We live in the city in an apartment, but have lots of green space and the lake in front of the apartment. The au pair can have access to our car in their free time if they have insurance that allows for this.
