Carta a la familia

Dear Hostfamilies,
my Name is Julia, I'm 20 years old and from Austria. I have been dreaming of becoming an Aupair ever since my Aunt told me about her experience.At the moment I still live in England with my current Hostfamily. I started working for them in July 2023 and it has been absolutely amazing. Traveling and working with children has always filled my heart with joy and becoming an Au Pair combined these two passions of mine. Getting to know new places and cultures is such an exciting thing.
I would describe myself as a kind and honest person who tries to be fair in everything they do. I love meeting new people and learning new skills and I am open for all the possibilities life has to offer.
Living with me is really easy as I am not a demanding person and I have no problem doing housework because I have been doing the housework in our home for many years since my parents are often very busy with work or taking care of our small farm.
I hope I am going to find a nice family to take me in and I am really looking forward to getting to know you and your kids. Thank you for reading my letter and spending the time to get to know me better, Julia

Experiencia con niños

I have a lot of experience with children. I have been working for my current Hostfamily for about 6 months now. Before that I went to a higher vocational college where I did multiple internships in different primary schools, kindergartens and a summer camp. I have also spent a lot of time babysitting my younger cousins and siblings.
From 2020 to 2023 I worked in a primary school as a morning supervisor from Monday to Friday before school. I enjoyed working with children so much that I realised I want to become a primary school teacher. It has brought me so much joy and so many good experiences that I couldn't see myself doing anything else.
Since I have a lot of experience with children I know certain techniques and ways to help them archive the best version of themselves. I am prepared and I am well aware of the fact that being an Au Pair for your children comes along with responsibilities and it will not always be just play and fun.
My calm and patient personality will help me to master more difficult situations for instance when the kids are tired or don’t want to listen to me.
