Dear host family,

My name is Mar and I will be turning 18 this July 2024.

I am a very social, kind and outgoing person who loves helping others and making others happy! I love travelling and learning about new cultures while teaching about my own.

This year 2023/2024 I did an exchange year in Oregon, USA. I stayed with a wonderful host family and It was the best year of my life. I love kids and travelling so what better thing to become an au pair and get to do both at once?!

I’m very used to being around them since I have a little sister (12), lots of little cousins from age 2 to 16 and my parents are principals of different elementary schools so It kinda is in my genes to love kids! I worked for a year as a teacher's assistant in an elementary school every monday and tuesday afternoon and taught 7 and 8 year olds math, catalan, spanish and english language as well as other subjects. It was a really rewarding experience and I learned so much from it.

I'm also very artistic. I have been dancing my whole life at a studio and I'm taking acting, choir and musical theatre. I'm self taught at playing the piano and I just started playing tennis! I'm also learning italian! I love writing scripts and making videos. I would love to study filmmaking in a future!
