Hello, my name is Jose. I am Brazilian living in the USA since August of 2019.
Becoming an Au Pair brings me the opportunity to explore and develop many of these interests in ways I am not able to financially and personally. Being with a family/elder will give me really close looks into new cultures and languages that I would not be able to have only by being a student or a tourist.
I have a little and an older brother with whom I grew up my whole life, which gave me experience managing my living with younger and older members of the house. Moving to the USA with my mom and little brother put us in a tighter spot which forced into integrally taking care of my little brother(2 years younger), taking care of the house, and working up to 40 hours a week. This made me highly value hard work and commitment, which are values I will bring into any family who chooses to welcome me.
I am fluent in Portuguese, English, and Spanish, and a beginner student of French. Having lived in two countries and mastering three languages, I have a large cultural baggage and experience in adapting to new environments.
