The aupair will have to work 8 hours per day, Monday to Friday, looking after our daughter. For two weeks, a 13 years-old family friend will also be present and the aupair will have to take care of her too (but not on weekends).
The aupair will have 2 days off per week, Saturday and Sunday. The salary is 150 euros per week but when the children to take care of are 2, the salary will be increased to 200 euros.
Hours are from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. with a 2 hour break (from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. or from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m.). Hours are flexible, though, and can be rearranged in order to maximize everybody's wellbeing.
Duties include: taking the child(ren) to the beach and activities, cooking simple meals for the child(ren), occasionally (twice a week maximum) cooking dinner for the child(ren), shopping, collaborating with housekeeping.
The typical working schedule of the aupair is as follows: in the morning the aupair will have to take the child(ren) to the beach where we rent beach umbrellas and deck chairs and where our family friends are. The beach resort is very close to the house (5 mins walk). The aupair and the child(ren) will return home in time for the aupair, if needed, to do the shopping and prepare lunch for herself and the child(ren). It is not necessary to prepare very elaborate dishes for lunch. A simple, healthy lunch will do just fine.
In the afternoon, after her 2 hours off, the aupair will take the child(ren) back to the beach or to the park, for a walk, to visit friends, etc. The job is not demanding because the child is independent, she has a good temper and she is perfectly inserted in the context. Many of her friends live in the area so she has lots of opportunities to stay entertained! This means that the aupair is required just to watch after her, especially when she bathes in the seas. Being able to swim is therefore mandatory for the aupair.
