Carta al Aupair

Hello! We are an Italian family from Florence: Mummy Agnese, Daddy Marco and three kids, Niccolò 9 yo, Gaia 6 yo, Matilde 4 yo. I’m 37, I’m a nurse and work in the main hospital of Florence. My husband, 37, is an engineer and is working abroad till next June. He comes back home only occasionally or for holidays. We have a rabbit called Socks. We hosted an au pair from last September to December. It was our first experience as hosting family and it was great. We would like to keep on with it! We are looking for a girl from January to June who lives with us and helps me to take care of the kids: playing with them, taking them to school or sport activities, spending time with them especially while I’m at work (out of school time), and a few help with houseworks.
And not less important we wish to spend time all together, visiting places, doing amazing activities and all that will come to our minds.
I speak Italian and a bit of english. I have been starting speaking english to my kids for more than an year, as well as I can, to make them learn it more naturally and spontaneously. I wish to give them something that lets them discover the most! They are used to English language even thanks to our first au pair who is from USA. Hosting an aupair has been a great opportunity, for us and for her, to learn languages and to know people from other countries and share our culture and habits. It’s a wonderful experience!
We live in Impruneta (village Pozzolatico) in the countryside but very colse to the center of Florence. Our house is rounded by a big private field with a stream, trees, flowers. In the warmer seasons you can meet roe deer and hares! It is a great place if you like to live rounded by nature and chill out. A vehicle is needed to move out and public transportation are 10-15 minutes walking far, then we’ll give you a car to move for our and your needs. You need a driver licence (valid for Italy) and we require a good experience in driving manual car.
Your “room” is a nice apartment exactly next to our house: it has a big room with a kitchen and a living room, then upstairs a mezzanine with a double bed and a bathroom. Out of the apartment there is a pergola where you can chill out in the shade and in the front our big garden. The main house has a kitchen, a living room and a toilet at the ground floor , then upstairs two big bedrooms and two bathrooms. You can feel our house as yours and we would like to feel you part of our family, that’s why we want you to live with us during the day, obviously except for the moments you need your privacy.
If you want to attend a language school to learn Italian, we’ll make it possible letting you free according to your school timetable (my parents live next to us and can help sometimes if you are busy).
If you are a friendly, polite, patient and creative person don’t esitate to contact us!
As you will see we are an easygoing and welcoming family!
We hope you’ll be glad to join us and share a great time together!
We look forward to knowing you!

Agnese, Marco, Niccolò, Gaia, Matilde

Descripción del trabajo

First of all we want you to be part of our family and we are going to do all to make you feel at home. We will be always ready to help and support you.
Regarding the kids, I write you down our main needs:
- preparing and take the kids to school in the early morning (not everyday)
- helping in the afternoon with the kids: picking up from school, taking/picking up for pm activities, staying at home with them
- Giving them dinner (not everyday and I usually let something ready cooked)
- One saturday morning per month
- when I have on call turn I need you to be at home in case I have to go to work.
We’ll ask for your time for not more than 30 hours a week.
We haven't a ripetitive daily routine. It depends on my work timetable. The kids are at school from 8 am to 16 pm (from Monday to Friday). After school they have extracurricular activities that change day by day. We will plan together month by month, considering all the commitments.
We think that being part of a family means also helping each other (that's what we are trying to teach to our sons as well!). Then we espect you to help in some ordinary houseworks and keep your apartment in order.

Descripción de la familia

I'm Agnese, 37 yo. I work in the main hospital of Florence as nurse in Operation Room. I work flextime: morning or afternoon, one saturday morning a month, sometimes I have on call turns during the night or a weekend.
My husband, 37, is a gestional engineer and he is working abroad till next June. He comes back home only occasionally or for holidays.
Niccolò, 9 yo is now attending the forth Year at the Primary school. He is a lovely, calm, curious and polite boy. He loves to build and create with building bricks and reciclying materials as well. He attends a swimming class. He would like to learn playing guitar and he’ll start soon a music class.
Gaia, 6 yo, is now attending the first class of Primary school. She is lovely, smiling and polite. She loves drawing and playing whith dolls. She plays roller skating and attends a swimming class.
Matilde, 4 yo, is attending the Preschool. She is the most "indipendent" kid, she is lovely, but a bit more cheeky monkey. She is a bit shy in a first moment, but in a while she gets a bigmouth. She loves drawing and roleplay with her sister. She also plays roller skating.
During the week we are all busy with work or taking care of the kids and the house.
In the weekend we like to meet friends, do some amazing activities for kids, go out for dinner, when we need we go shopping, go out for a trip.
My husband is a fisher and he likes to go to the seside with his fisher friends.
