We live in Florence and well, what to say about it? It is a charming city with a wonderful city centre and surroundings and plenty of things to see and do. We just moved here in September, so we are still discovering all what the city has to offer. We live in a nice neighborhood which is well connected to the city centre via the tram (6 stops to the city centre) and various bike’s lanes. (we have a spare bike that you are welcome to use). The nearest supermarket is just 2 minutes away in a mall that offers different services, including a cinema. There is basically everything you need in the neighborhood, but we also like to see what the rest of the city and its surroundings have to offer.
We like to spend time together doing different things, hiking in the mountains during weekends, cycling in the hills of chianti, going to art exhibitions and museums, skiing, sledging, skating, enjoying the tuscan seaside and archipelago... whenever possible, visiting other cities in Italy and travelling abroad, cooking and eating together and many other things!!! we're rarely staying home during the weekend and you're welcome to join us if you like.

We are looking for an au pair who could be an older sister for Ettore and Elvira and help us out in looking after them.
Ettore and Elvira go to the kindergarten (in the same building), from 8.30/9.00 in the morning until 4.30PM. We would like you to bring or pick them up at the kindergarten. The kindergarten is 10 mins away from our home by bike. We have a bike and a trailer, which we use to take and bring them. Otherwise, the kindergarten is 4 stops away using the city’s tram line. Once they are at home we like to do things together but it may happen that we have an urgent duty at work and need your help. While they are at the kindergarten you can get organized as you prefer (doing language courses, discover Florence and the surroundings, studying...or whatever you like!) We only ask some flexibility in case they are sick or have to stay home.
For her job, Irene travels every week and stays away overnight (usually 1 night and sometimes 2 nights a week). When this happens, we would like you to stay with Ettore and Elvira and help Michele (who is not a brilliant cook
- except for pizza!) to prepare dinner and put the kids to bed. During the weekends, you can enjoy your free time as you want, but if you want to join us, we always try to do something different! It would be great if you can speak with Ettore and Elvira in German...We always hosted German-speaking au pairs and we would like to continue. Although Ettore does not speak German (and Elvira barely speaks Italian!), we hope that someday they will learn it properly, also thanks to your help! Although we have a person helping us out with the cleaning, we would appreciate if you could help us out with the usual day-to-day routine (tidying up toys, fill the dishwasher, groceries, help us to prepare dinner, etc.).

Alojamiento del Au Pair

We live in a modern 3 bedroom apartment with a kitchen, a large living room, three bathrooms and a balcony in a beautiful neighborhood that includes apartments, offices, bars, a big university library, and a big park just across the road in front of our home. Your room, which is now our studio and guest room, is approximately 15sqm with a bed, wardrobe and a desk. The room has air conditioning and a very big window. One of the bathroom will be used only by you.
We have fast fiber optic internet connection. Your room is only yours and you will have complete privacy, while in the rest of the house you will enjoy the messy life of our family.
