Dear Host Family,
In advance I would like to say thank you for reading my profile.
I am a 23 years old girl from Brazil. I came from a family of four, my father, my mother and a little sister who is 19 years old. I lived in a small city in Minas Gerais, my family has a farm and they own a business of roses plantation and a flower store. My first experience with commitment and hard work was in my family business,where I started to work really young. I left my parents' house at 16 y/o to live in the big city and study high school, so I had to learn how to live by myself cooking and cleaning my house.
I am a confident, knowledgeable worker, dedicated to creating a stimulating, encouraging, safe atmosphere for each child’s needs.I have developed strong skills in supporting young children, and am genuinely passionate about providing the best child care and play experiences.I have an excellent record of working successfully with families in different settings. I take pride in being able to handle difficult situations sympathetically but with professionalism.
I have a lot of experiences in childcare in the past years. I was always surrounded by kids, either for family members or my parents' friends' kids. In 2013 I got my first job as a nanny of a baby girl who was 6 months, and I worked with her until february 2016, but doing some occasional babysitting after that. Along 2016 and 2017 I worked taking care of a 9 years old boy. In 2018, I went to London to study English and had the opportunity to take care of two boys (7 & 9) and a baby (born in september 2018). I also work babysitting in my free time and I have experience working in a half-term Camp with kids from 3 to 8 years old. For 6 months I was an Au Pair in Germany taking care of one year old Twins and a 6 year old. And my last job was in an international montessori kindergarden.
I like to spend time outdoors and be in touch with the nature. Read a book and listen to music is always a relaxing thing for me, I also like to write and express myself through texts. I love to swim, since I was 1 year old, and I am very confident with it and I used to represent my city in competitions. Other things that I like to do is Hiking, Climbing, Ride a bike or skate. My other passion is travelling, and I want to become a travel agent in the future.
I chose Au-Pair to have new experiences in a different culture and new language,which is an advantage for my future working in tourism, but also to "work" with I like (kids), since they make our day special and always make us smile, it is impossible be unhappy near a child.
