Before I taught in Thailand I worked as a Nanny on a farm in rural England. I took care of two children, a 2 year old boy and a 9 month old girl. I cared for the girl from newborn so have good experience in working with newborns and babies. I ensured their daily needs were met, drove them to nursery and organised fun play dates for us to go on. I also prepared meals in the evening and helped with their bedtime routine.

From 2018-2019 I worked at a Nursery and Pre-school for 18 months. Whilst working here I gained my Pediatric First Aid certificate and a Level 3 Diploma in Early years education. During my time as an Early Years Practitioner I worked with children aged 6 months- 5 years old. My job role was to provide exciting and engaging ways to learn, as well as attending to their basic care needs.

I volunteered in Nepal for 3 months and lived with a Nepali host family. I worked alongside Nepalese volunteers to educate children aged 3-18 years old about current social issues in Nepal, such as child marriage & domestic violence. I loved my time there and have especially loved experiencing and being fully immersed into another culture.
