Dear Host Family,

Good day future family! I am Hiela. I am 27 years of age. I was born on May 30, 1995 in Tarlac. I believe in hardwork and perseverance that is why I persevere and work hard to reach my goals in life. It’s like fulfilling my parents dream for us. In every success of my life, I dedicate it to my family. I also believe in the magic of having courage and kindness in life because I know this will lead you someday to a successful and prosperous life through our best teacher, which is experience. In connection with this, I want to meet new people, learn new culture and languages to broaden my knowledge and skills. I want to step outside my comfort zone and take risks in new things.
My family lives a happy and God center life. We are also thrifty, yet still generous to others. We value close family ties and hospitality. My relationship with my parents and sister is very good. I and my sister are very thankful and blessed to have a wonderful parent like them. Our parents can’t give us expensive materials nor expensive family getaway, but their undying love and support for us is priceless.
Basically, my first language is Filipino but I am also fluent in English for I started learning English in Primary.
It is my goal to learn other languages. I consider it as a challenge because I know that it’s really hard to learn languages from other countries. I desire to have first-hand experience of another countries life. I am particularly interested in experiencing family life in Europe, since its countries offer cultural contexts that are undoubtedly difficult from mine. For this reason, I would very much like to find a nice family to live with and work for in your country.
When it comes to child care experience, I can confidently say that I have a passion in taking care of children. I can make them more energetic and happy by teaching them how to play, dance, paint, draw and having other activities. Teaching them to have a good value in life. As a big sister on my cousins I already know how to take care of them. I have also helped my relatives and friends to look after children as their babysitter when they are away for work. Remembering the time when I was 12 years old I have to took care of my cousins ages 5 and 8 years old because our family attends important matter, that I need to cook foods and take them to bath. whenever my aunt was not able to look after my cousins I do the honour so that they can finish their household’s chores. We spend time to play games talking about school matters and what they want to be 10 years from now. I served as their guardian whenever my aunt was not able to attend school events. Currently Im also a Au pair here at Oslo, Norway with family of 4 mother father children ages 11 and 12. My contract will be finish lon August 2023 but I would love to visit my family in Philippines because haven't seen them in 3 years and it would help me to recharge emotionally . Hoping you will still want to have me from Philippines and I'm willing to process papers while Im here at Europe
When it comes to leisure, I take pleasure in the simple things in life. I enjoy being outdoors, being with my friends having food trips, going for works, visiting places I have not been to. I also enjoy cleaning our small house when I have free time, decorating my room and arranging our simple staff.
As far as preferences concerned, I am looking for a live-in arrangement with a host family that would be happy to have me stay with and work for them for them for a year or more. although I am quite flexible, I would prefer to have working hours that would allow me to attend day time language classes.
