I was an au pair in Gothenburg, Sweden a short time and I have a resident permit valid 10 months. I was a homeroom teacher at Ambassador Bilingual School. I was an intern teacher assistant at Unity Concord International School. I had an experience from taking care of children with different ages from preschoolers to grade 2 and they were from 3 to 7 years old. In the morning, I prepared a snack and milk for them. During the class, I took care of them and helped them with worksheet especially with Math. For example, I helped them to count numbers, guide them to their exercise and more. Moreover, I created a lesson plan for Thai subject and taught Thai to American, Irish, Chinese, Korean and Thai students. For a lesson plan, I created Thai subject for them to practice consonants and alphabets sound in Thai and other activities. Apart from that, I also take care of my neighbor’s child and my little cousin as well. With all childcare experiences, I am so happy to with them and get to know them.
I want to be an au pair because Firstly, I want to develop myself, see the world and explore new things which I have never seen in Thailand especially with snow in winter. Secondly, I want to gain more experiences about children and learn how different between Thai and new culture parenting style because it will be a good benefit for my future career. I want to improve my English skill because I also have a plan to continue working as a teacher and teaching English children in my hometown.
