I grew up in a coastal city in northern China, near Beijing. I travelled to over 50 cities in China before coming to the UK. I am currently studying for a Master's degree in Digital Marketing at the University of Southampton, so I have a UK student visa. I have a driving licence, but not much driving experience.
I volunteered for a month at a permaculture farm in Turkey, where I learned a lot about recycling and environmental concepts and was responsible for taking care of the food for all the farm animals. While volunteering at the Buddhist Holistic Centre, I helped out in the café and kitchen and gained a lot of experience in cooking and baking. I have travelled alone through four countries and made many friends along the way. I love all lovely people and things, especially kids. And I am very fond of animals, especially felines. I have three cats at home and have rescued stray cats.
I studied economics for one year at university in China. As I achieved the standard in my exams in two semesters, I transferred to Accounting - the best major in my university. My university had a graded teaching system and I passed the test to get into A class (10% of students are in A class, 20% in B, and 70% in C class ) and was awarded a scholarship for five semesters. I passed 7 ACCA exams in two years and took up guitar and drums.
Thanks to the learning model formed by the nine years of compulsory education for the Chinese, I can provide academic help to children of different ages. During my high school years, I was one of the 15% of students who received A grades in all subjects in the school's Academic Test. Subjects included Maths, Chinese, English, History, Politics, Geography, Biology, Chemistry and Physics. And I am happy to teach Mandarin while learning a new language.
