Hello, dear future host family,

I hope you are having a wonderful day.

First of all, I would like to thank you for the time you took to read my letter. I would like to introduce myself, I'm Lika, 22 years old. I'm from Surami, where I lived with my parents, my sister and my brother, till the age of 18. My family runs a hotel there, from the age of 16 I was actively involved in this business. We hosted many foreign families, I often offered them to look after their children and used to earn money from this job. They often left their kids in my supervision, I fed them, took them for a walk, played with them, helped with dressing, bathing, and so on.

At the age of 18, I enrolled in the Tbilisi states university and moved to the capital city of Georgia, Tbilisi, where I lived alone.
After that, I started working in a private nursery school called “Tserodena”. My working hours were from 10 a.m till 6 p.m, I worked with the kids aged 3-4 years. It was the most positive period of my life. I taught them friendly communication, counting, caring about others, expressing their emotions freely. I also tried to teach them how to eat and dress independently, we often played role-play games and had great fun. At this period, I was doing pedagogical and psychological courses. During my last course at university, I tutored children at home, Anamaria 8 years old, and Keso also 8 years old.

I also have a lot of experience in working with teenagers. I was a project organizer for a non-government organization called “Yes Georgia”. For three months , from 9 a.m to 9 p.m, I taught 15 children aged 11 to 17, how to write a resolution. I offered them encouraging and energetic games and created a positive and comfortable environment to keep them motivated. I have received very good appraisals in the form of letters from these children.

In addition, I also have experience with children under 2 years, I have a three-month-old godchild, named Nicholas. In my free time, especially on weekends, I walk him in the park, put him to sleep, play with him and change diapers. Nicholas is always happy to see me, as am I.

As for my characteristics, I'm a friendly, sociable, cheerful, hard-working, reliable, and creative person. I like reading and walking in nature in my free time. I love playing the piano. I always try to improve myself and get new skills. I'm very kind, I often help orphans and try to make their life better. My mother worked in an orphanage for a year, and I often followed her to work and helped her.
I love children and communication with them, once in the winter I even gave my own jacket to a child who was sleeping in the streets. I dream of a world where every child is happy.
