Hello from Canada!

Our family lives in a house in a town of around 35,000 people in Southern BC. It is a beautiful area where most of Western Canada comes to holiday because of all our stunning lakes, mountains, wineries, beaches, and summer life. Then in the winter, we are only a 45min-2hr drive from 4 ski hills! This valley grows exceptional peaches, cherries, nectarines, apples and so many other amazing fruits.

We are seeking an aupair from June onwards. This can also be flexible but it is our preference. We are expecting a new baby in November, so would love your support beyond that too!

My Dad (who lives nearby) grows an amazing garden here in the summer and we all love good food and cooking. We would love it if you could assist with some food prep and ideally if you are not a picky eater. That being said, most of our cooking is strictly gluten-free (I am celiac) and predominantly vegan or vegetarian (with a little meat here and there). I have written cookbooks in the past so hopefully that tells you that you will have a happy belly here in our house :)

There are lots of excellent playgroups and kids activities here in our town that you can take our son to, many of them within a lovely walk away as we are right in town. It is only an 8-minute stroll to the nicest beach (and view) in the valley from our house!

There are all sorts of different shops, plenty of buses, cycle paths, and more. Our car would be available for you to use as well, especially for transporting our son places.

We are seeking someone to love our son like your own relative. He is the cutest little man and we want the world for him. We definitely would like him to learn French from this young age and would like to have an agreement with our Aupair that she speaks only French with him. I speak French fluently but we, adults, could speak English or French with you if you prefer.

There would be approximately 4-5hrs per day of your time required with our son or on household duties, on average.

I work from home most of the time and would like to be present for our son as much as possible but certainly require your assistance. Matt (my husband) works in a nearby office on a four day week and can give you a break on Fridays! Some weekend support would be appreciated, but we are flexible.

Some help around the house with domestic jobs would be greatly appreciated.

Alloggio dell'AuPair

We are moving into a new house, where the aupair will have their own bedroom and bathroom. The bathroom may be occasionally shared when my Mom stays over. Our house is two floors, so you can retreat to your space, and we have a nice backyard to relax in. We will have a bicycle available for your use, and access to laundry and a renovated, fully stocked kitchen for cooking!
