***MY FLIGHT TO IRELAND IS APRIL 24th***

Dear host family,

My name is Karina, I'm 28 years old and I currently live in the city of Itaquaquecetuba in the state of São Paulo. My dream has always been to work with children: I go to pedagogy college and I am a volunteer English teacher.

I have experience as a nanny for children of different ages, I worked in English schools as a receptionist and sometimes I was a substitute teacher, I was a theater actress, I have a driver's license, I love children and animals (especially cats). I currently work as a Administrative Assistant. I would love to help you with your kids and get to know your culture and learn your language more.

I've been living alone for just over 6 years, my parents live in the state where I was born (Maranhão).
My goal as an Au Pair is to improve my English, have new cultural experiences and be part of a new welcoming family.

Esperienze

I worked as a nanny taking care of a two-year-old girl, as the mother worked in a pizzeria, sometimes the child slept in my house. I worked in some English schools and ended up teaching English as a substitute teacher (for 3 to 5 year olds) and guiding and helping teenagers in exams (11 to 15 years old). Twice I worked at a mickey and santa claus costume event, twice volunteered at church for children's day. At another time, I worked with two children, a 1 year old and a 4/5 year old, all day while their parents worked. I currently work as a nanny for a 6 year old boy from monday to friday, he is very smart and knows how to do many things on his own, but I am always there to help him. I make his breakfast, I play with him, and when I come back after lunch I have snacks and games to distract him because he likes to use his cell phone a lot, but his mother prefers that he doesn't use it for more than 2 hours a day.
Currently, I am a volunteer English teacher in a social project in another city twice a week.
