Dear Future Host Family,

Hi, good day! I hope that this letter finds you well. I am Kristienne Mae, 26 years of age, from The Philippines but currently residing in Norway as an Au Pair. I was also an Au pair in The Netherlands last August 2020 and I'm loving this experience that's why I want to continue this journey for the next years to come. My friends know me as a smart, industrious, and cheerful girl. My host mom in the Netherlands said that the kids like me because I am friendly and my friends would always say that I am Miss Congeniality. I still have a good connection with them. Currently, I am an Au pair for a single mom in Norway and she says that I am a good friend. She also said that I am very operational because I manage the house very well and I get along with the kids very well. I believe that I am qualified to be your next Au pair because I like what I am doing, I give it my all, and I will be a good host sister to your children. I will treat them as my own siblings and I think I will become a good role model for them when they grow up.

My contract in Norway will end on the first week of August 2023. I plan to go back to the Philippines after my contract ends because it's been a while since I have been with my family because of COVID (it will be 3 years). I am therefore going to be honest that I am looking for a host family who is willing to get someone from the Philippines and preferably the start date is January 2024. I would greatly appreciate it.

Esperienze

My experience as an Au Pair is very good and happy. I started to become an Au Pair in the Netherlands last August 2020 and I am very much loving the experience. I was blessed to have a host family which is very kind and cool. I took care of two children (11 year old girl and 10 year old boy). As an Au Pair in The Netherlands, I help prepare the kids' breakfast in the morning and I prepare their lunchboxes. I also clean/ vacuum the house, do the laundry, iron and fold the clothes, cook dinner for the whole family, and most especially, babysit the children. My host family also has a cat named Tommie and a dog named Rover. Sometimes, I am in charge of walking the dog.

Now in Norway, I am taking care of two kids (15-year-old boy and a 10 year old girl). They are very sweet kids. I mostly look after the youngest. I pick her up at the school and I am with her during her activities (gymnastics and piano). I am like a big sister to her as she tells me everything that happened in school. I also prepare their lunchboxes and I help with the house.

I am enjoying this experience a lot. I have never become so at peace in my life and I want to continue this journey for years to come to experience the cultures of different countries, different families, and different people. I am thinking of going back home but my desire to study and work in Europe is way stronger.
