Lettera alla Famiglia

Liebe zukünftige Gastfamilie,

zusammen mit euch freue ich mich auf eine spannende, abenteuerlustige und aktive Zeit. Mit mir wird es nie Langweilig. Kreativität hat bei mir freien lauf. Spaß steht hier an erster stelle. Aber auch für einen netten Filmabend bin ich zu haben. Ich bin nicht nur lustig drauf, sondern auch führsorglich, denn das wohlergehen der Kinder ist mir wichtig. Wenn die Kinder glücklich sind, bin ich es auch. Ich greife gerne unter die Arme und helfe aus, wo ich kann. Kochen, Backen, Wäsche waschen, Spülmaschine ausräumen und viele weitere haushaltliche Aufgaben sind für mich keine Herausforderungen, denn schon früh wurde mir beigebracht selbstständig zu sein. Ich bin Klug und lerne schnell dazu. Ich passe mich sehr schnell an und bin überzeugt davon das wir gemeinsam wachsen werden und eine schöne zeit durchleben werden.

hey hey,

My name is Kathi, I'm 19 years old and I'm currently living in Oslo with a host family ( kids: girl,4 & boy 7). My parents are separated. My oldest brother (22) lives alone in the house we grew up. My little brother (15) lives with my mother in northern Germany in Wismar. I can already speak some Norwegian (still need to improve) as I was an au pair in Northern Norway (Tromsø) in 2022-2023. I lived there with 3 children (2, 5 & 7 years old). My job was to drive the children to school and kindergarten, go shopping, clean up, take care of the children and play and cook with them. I really enjoyed living there and I really enjoyed being an au pair. Before my au pair year I lived with my father for a year and 17 years before that I lived with my mother and my two brothers. I have a very good relationship with my brothers and my parents.

Now I'll tell you a little bit about me. I’ve not only been to Norway, but also to Scotland (backpack trip) Denmark & ​​Sweden (road trip with my little brother), France (sightseeing with my father), Bavaria & Austria (with my mother and my best friend) and I have been in Switzerland. I love to travel and meet new people. I am proud of what I have already achieved and would like to experience as much as possible. I'm always happy to learn and look forward to new challenges. In my free time I like to go to concerts or medieval festivals. I like to go hiking, dancing and learning new languages.

I've always been very interested in Norway and the language. Norway is my second home. In another year as an au pair, I hope to learn the language even better and maybe someday live in Norway.
