Dear future host family, First of all, thank you for taking the time to read this, I am pleased to get a chance to introduce myself.

My name is Vaula, I am 19 years old and I am from Finland. I live in Tampere and I study in a performing arts orientated high school. I will graduate in early June of 2024 and I want to be an au pair after graduating. I am taking a gap year because I see it as a great opportunity to discover myself as well as the world.

I feel like being an au pair would be the right fit for me because I have a genuine passion for childcare and I legitimately want to expand my views, explore new places, learn about different cultures and connect with people.

I have experience of working with children between the ages of 9 months to 10 years. I have babysat children at their homes and I work occasionally in a kindergarten. I have also taken care of my little brother who is 10. I really enjoy spending time with and taking care of children.

I have never been afraid of chasing after my dreams and doing whatever it takes to make them come true. I moved away from my hometown alone at the age of 16 for my dream school, and now I’m ready to take next big leap into the unknown and hopefully make another great adventure out of it and most importantly a life long friendship.

I value kindness, liberality and open-mindedness. I want a host family that shares same type of values with me and are accepting and LGBT-friendly people.
