Dear Host Family

Hello Dear Host Family, I would like to introduce myself to you and let you know a little about me so that you will understand why I would be a good choice work and live with your family. My name is Ketevan , I am 24 years old, I am from Georgia. I have a degree in English Philology and now I’m studying PR management. Currently I’m working as a dispatcher at Locksmith office. I live in Tbilisi , It is a beautiful City; full of gardens, delicious and traditional food and friendly people, Tbilisi is considered as very historical city with ancient sights and beautiful old buildings. Thousands of tourists visit our country every day, which I’m very proud of.
I would describe myself as a friendly and helpful person because in times of need I am always there for my friends and my family. Also, I’d say I’m a nice person, outgoing and curious, always interested in learning new things. In fact, I like to venture into new challenges that I can test myself on, like this one!
I live in a family of five people: me, my older and younger brothers and my parents. my father Goderdzi, he is 45 and he is an engineer but now is working as a Postman . My mother Nana , she is 42 and she is teacher at public school , my oldest Brother George, He is a Real Estate Broker and is 25 years old and my youngest brother Nick, he studies at school and he is 13 years old.
I have a good relationship with all of them, although in some aspects me and my brothers are very different as regards character. As far as my parents are concerned, I am more similar to my mother, who has a very extroverted and warm character, quite different from my father’s, whose attitude is definitely closer to my brothers’ , even in work accuracy. They trust me, they think I’m mature enough to take care of myself, and they support me in my choices. With them I talk about my future and my goals, because they understand me, they give me advices and, in case our ideas do not get along, we discuss it peacefully.
I have a lot of hobbies! : I like to do so many things as cooking - I like to cook sometimes, but I do not think I am very good! I hope you may give I hope you may give me the opportunity to cook a Georgian type of meal for you and your family while I am with you. I like walking, playing volleyball or basketball with my friends, watching movies, traveling, getting to know new places, I enjoy meeting with friends in my spare time, going to the cinema, eating in a nice restaurant, or just hanging out and talking. I also like to read fiction books and surf the internet but most important , I enjoy learning languages. At the moment I only speak four Languages : English, Spanish, Russian and Georgian.
I like working with children because They are very loving, tender and fun. I have always taken
care of my nephews and relatives . During the time I have been taking care of children , I learned
a lot from them. I Had nice experiences looking after children, we understand each other, the
families were nice and they treated me very well with a lot of respect, from which I am very
grateful.
As for my experience with the children I spent great moments with them , we played together , I
picked them up from school or took them to some kind of extracurricular activity, I taught them
to behave well, I helped with homework, bathing, dressing, feeding, teaching to be organized
with their toys, reading , writing , painting and doing crafts. The children's parents would allow
me to implement punishments if I demented it necessary ( previously we agreed what kind of
punishment must be applied).
My experience with Nia was wonderful. She was an affectionate girl. I took care of her from 2
to 5 years old , I picked her up from school, I helped her with homework, I warmed up her dinner
, we played together, on Wednesdays I took her to the park or for a walk . She was very funny,
kind, responsible, and sociable girl. She liked to play with her dolls.

My experience with Sandro : he was a very intelligent boy, I took care of him from her 7 to 12 years old, He was intelligent, he liked to do his homework and study. We also did crafts, played together, did sports like running, jumping rope , painting and singing. I picked him up from school, helped him with homework, I taught him to play basketball and also to fold his clothes, on Saturdays we went for a walk and played in the playground near her home.
My experiences with Elene : She is a beautiful baby. I have taken care of her from 2 to 7
months old. At he beginning I was very careful with her, I bathed her carefully, fed her with milk
bottle, and changed her diapers. I like to dress her and I take her for a walk in her stroller. She is a
very happy and sleepy baby.
My experience with Vache : I love him so much he is the cutest and calm baby ever, I took care of him from 2 to 8 months old , I changed diapers , putting him to sleep, feeding and walking in the park. He was one of the easy to deal babies , he rarely cried, he was a good eater and in general very calm baby.
I really enjoy spending time with children. For the past ten years, I took care of children of all ages from different families. I became very close to them and I cherish the time I have spent with them. When my brother was younger, I also took care of him, when our mum was working. Through this time, I have found out how much fun it is to have children around, I can’t imagine a life without them. That is why I want to be part of this Au pair program. I will be happy to spend a whole year with a host family, take care of your children, get to know about your culture and way of life. Besides I would also like to have the opportunity to travel to The United States to learn more about the American culture, visit tourist places, make new friends, have the opportunity to study and improve my English language skills because it will help me to have better opportunities in my future professional life. I hope we can develop a good relationship, working and living together as a family. I would be very happy to experience an eventful year with you and your kids. I am looking forward to talking to you.
