Dear host family,
I am very excited to get to know you but first I would love to introduce myself.

My first name is Diligent but I prefer being addressed by my second name Lindi. I am 20 years old and from Zimbabwe, but currently living in South Africa. I'm living in a house located in an area full of nature. With my parents and siblings, my younger brother (11) and eldest sister (23).We were raised in Christian home and given values to a respect, to be honest and to be assertive.

I would like to describe myself as reliable, responsible and a caring person, who tries to make the best out every situation. I love spending time with family and friends, as they are very important to me. I completed my O level and have the greatest ambitions of furthering my studies and becoming a Doctor. In my spare time, I assist my younger brother with homework or read books.

The last summer volunteered to help at a nearby kindergarten and was assigned to teach the eldest group how to read basic English literacy. In between the short breaks we had ,I was responsible for entertaining the children and they were bundles of joy and fun, as we played hide and seek, coloring ins and indigenous games.
My reasons for becoming an au pair are not about only establishing good relationships with families or as a safe place as a student. Its beyond that, I want to become part of the family, culture, responsibilities while carrying the lows and highs but moving forward with the love and warmth I'll be embraced with.

I believe you can host me as a perfect addition and assistance to your family and you can absolutely rely on me. I love working with children and I work with great dedication, commitment and ambition. I feel confident and secure in dealing with them. Acknowledging that they are not the same and that they are still discovering the world and also need instruction and guidelines. I would like to support them in finding their way . I am adequate to the task of being an au pair as I am mature and reliable. I can promise your children are in the greatest hands and will never be bored.
