Lettera alla Famiglia

Dear host family, My name is Lavinia and I'm 19 years old. I live in Poá, a small town in the state of São Paulo, in Brazil, it is 30 minutes from the capital where there are some tourist attractions and postcards of the city such as “Parque do Ibirapuera” and “Avenida Paulista”. I love living here because it is a place with very welcoming people, great parks, and many cultural events, I always like to go out here with my friends to malls, cinemas, theaters, parks and concerts.

I live with my father André, he is 37 years old, he works as a driver for a company, he is a responsible person and very careful with our family.
My mother Diana, 34 years old, is the center of our family like the great mother, she is very affectionate and friendly.
My middle brother André is 16 years old, he is a very sweet brother and a good boy, he studies and plays football and finally, my brother Davi, only 8 years old, is a sweet and polite child.
My parents are very nice and understanding, but they are strict when it comes to education and good manners, so I grew up very responsible and polite.

My family is supporting me a lot on my trip to the USA, because they know it will be very important for my life, it's great to have an experience in another country. That way, I can grow more as an independent person, learn English and get to know your wonderful culture!

Esperienze

My experiences with children started early when I had my first sibling.
Yes, since I was 10 I started taking care of my brother and then I took care of my brother Davi since he was a newborn.
At the age of 17 I started working in the children's ministry where I am until today, I take care of children, we played games with them, and helped with snack time.
Since I've known myself for people, I've always liked children and they like me too, I can take care of them, change them and feed them and give them love and affection.

I decided to be an Au Pair because I hope this experience can help me learn a new language and living, working and studying abroad would be great for my future career.
I would also like to travel abroad and learn more about the lifestyle, the culture and share experiences with you.
I think it would be fascinating to experience another country and culture while working, studying and living there.
I want to do my best work and I would take care of your children as if they were my own children. I want to give them all my care and knowledge and I would do it with love and care.
Now I am anxiously waiting for your contact, so that you can fulfill my dream. I want to know different places and a different way of life in your family, which will be part of my life and will be unforgettable! We certainly have a lot of good ideas and experiences to change.
