Hello, my name is Celyna, I'm Brazilian and I'm 25 years old.
I would like to be an Au pair to have new experiences, learn about other cultures, improve my English and, if possible, learn other languages before graduating from college.
I study veterinary medicine and I know that, over time, it will be increasingly difficult for me to have these experiences. After finishing college I will have to do a residency and specialize in some area, so I won't have time for other things. So I decided that now would be the right time to take a break from college and prioritize getting to know new places and cultures.
I decided to apply as an Au pair because I am very good at taking care of people (children and the elderly). Personally, I am completely in love with children and generally get along very well with them.
I have experience with children of all ages, as I took care of my cousins of different ages and I took care of my niece from birth until she was 4 years old, and I only stopped taking care of her because I moved to another state for college, but I'm still taking care of her and other cousins of similar ages whenever I come home. I also have experience in caring for the elderly, as I was raised by my grandparents and took care of them from a very young age. I kept them company, gave them food, helped with bathing, gave them medicine, went to doctor's appointments and after I was 18 I also started sleeping with them in the hospital when I needed to.
My grandmother was always very sick and required a lot of care and attention, so from a young age I had to be responsible, to be able to take good care of her. I learned from a very early age the importance of having responsibility, and I also learned to stay calm and think clearly in times of crisis, so that I could always take the necessary measures to resolve any problem that occurred.
I believe that I could be a good Au Pair, as I consider myself capable, responsible and trustworthy to take care of people, and I also believe that it would be a perfect job for me, as I would be doing something that I am good at, and am already used to doing (taking care of of people), while expanding my horizons, learning new cultures, improving my English and maybe even learning new languages
