I have not worked professionally as a nanny nor at a kinder garden but i've grown in a family with many kids and i normally babysat them. Especially my youngest baby cousin, i stayed for her for a whole months and took care of them the whole day.
Also, part of the school activities, we did some sort of voluntary work in schools and daycare in rural areas, i was mostly in charge of kids around 5-6 years old, and we did all types of activities like playing, doing homework and studying. I liked this experienced a lot, even more when we had to explain certain subjects or rules. I even thought of becoming a teacher for this reason.

Besides that, i also completed 10 years of Au Pair job with two different families.
The first one lasted 7 months by contract, until they started daycare. I took care of twins from 17 months at the time. I worked 5 hours a day, 6 days a week and i mostly spend the afternoon with them, playing, going for walks in the woods, going to the Spielplatz and doing of course light housework when the kids where with the parents.
The second experience was only for 3 months, since the parents needed help for a limited time. I took care of a 2 years old boy and a 3 years old girl, whom mostly spenT times on kindergarten so i took over on the afternoons, mostly playing while the parents where outside and accompanying them on the morning and night routines. I worked around 4 hours per day, 6 days a week.

While working, i consider myself as someone very responsible, flexible, a quick-thinker and very compromised with my job. I try my best to be organized and study and research as much as i can. I take very serious my time spent with the kids and i try to help as much as i can during my working hours, even if the girls are sleeping or with the parents i normally help with light housework (mostly related to the babies).

I still keep contact with those families since i enjoyed my time with them, specially with the kids. They helped my a lot with my language skills and self confidence !
