Dear host family, my name is Martha and I am a 20-year-old girl who is currently looking for a new family in Australia.

A little about me: I grew up in Denmark, where I live with my family of 5. My mother and father, as well as my two younger sisters who are respectively 19 and 11 years old. I am a family person who loves everything from playing outside to watching movies with hot cocoa on a rainy day. In my sparetime I love being with my friends, going out on daytrips and be active by doing different sports.

This summer I finished my education in Denmark, after which I went to Austria for half a year to become a ski instructor in Zell Am See. In addition, I have spent many hours of my free time working as an instructor at various children's gymnastics teams in HI Gymnastics Association, as a nanny and as a sales assistant at a jewelry store.

As an instructor in HI Gymnastics, I have worked with a lot of different kids, which has taught me a lot about patience and communication. I therefore already have lot of experience and knowledge on how to act around children and how to communicate with them, which means I know how to be an effective and yet fun teacher. As a person, I am smiling, welcoming and responsible. I have faced many different challenging situations, both as an instructor, nanny and sales assistant from which I have learned to stay calm and keep track of what is going on. I put pride in being as helpful as possible to the people around me and I believe that it is essential in order to create a safe and comfortable working environment. I have a positive attitude and don’t give up until I have a solution. Besides that, I am very thorough and patient with the things I do.

In Austria, Most of the time I have been responsible for teaching beginner children in the ski school, from age 4 to 10. Besides being about skiing, of course, working with the little ones is also about having fun in the snow and giving them an experience, that they will remember. Calculated, I have taught a total of 138 hours in ski school, after which I have also had 82 private lessons teaching children.

There are several reasons why I am looking to become an au pair in Australia. As I said, I want to become part of your family and pass on some of my own experience, while at the same time experiencing and exploring a different culture than where I come from. In addition, I also want to explore the beautiful nature as well as the cities found in Australia.
