Hi there! My name is Angira. I am 23 years old. I am from Russia but currently living in Mexico and planning to move to Germany haha.
I live in a small family with my parents and my brother who is 12 years younger than I am. He, despite being so small, could teach me many important things. I admire a lot kids’ ability to be flexible, curious and absorbing. To my mind, children are a perfect example of pure happiness. They are our true teachers of how to keep enjoying your life. Having my brother made me realize it is much more important to give rather than to take. You really feel happy when you share your experience and knowledge, not just keep it for yourself.
I came a long way with my brother from changing his diapers to answering his questions about how our universe works. It feels so significant and joyful to take part in building his character. My favorite part of our free time together is discussing a book or a movie. It is always interesting to hear his opinion and get to know his view on this world.
I have a solid background of living abroad. During my school years, I visited summer camps in the UK two times improving my English skills. Yet those camps gave me so much more than just learning a language. There I first started to think about globalization processes and how big our world really is.
With those insights plus some teaching methods I have learned in the summer camps, I launched a volunteer club. It was made for children from socially disadvantaged families to help them with their studies. We have been teaching them basic subjects like Mathematics, Russian, English, Literature, Social science, History and some others. That volunteer club is still working at my school and I am extremely proud to be a founder of it. I have seen joy in children’s eyes, I know how grateful they are, how much good quality time we had together.
After finishing the school, I entered a university in China. I have spent there 2,5 years before turning back to Russia (and could spend 1,5 years more if not the pandemic). In my opinion, it helped me to grow as a person and to become more mature. I had to adapt to a new culture, new people, new customs and traditions. However, now I can state with confidence that I am flexible and easy-going person.
To conclude, I think I am a valid candidate for your family. I have an experience with baby-sitting; I easily find contact with children and enjoy spending time with them a lot. Being away from home for a long time, I can state with confidence to be a responsible person you can rely on.
