Sunshine Au Pair was founded in 2012 and is a recognized Au Pair agency of the Dutch Immigration Office. With the effort of our team members, we grew from having a small group of au pairs to now more than hundred au pairs in the Netherlands. We work from the heart and provide our best support to our host families and our au pairs. We provide detailed interviews with the au pairs, give professional interview feedback, do rigorous reference checks, do quick follow-ups on the documentation and visa arrangement for your au pair. Besides, we also provide enjoyable events for our au pairs, and have online and in-person classes that can surely help them gain knowledge and connections during their au pair year.
Sunshine Au Pair offers services throughout the whole of Netherlands. Most of our host families are located in The Hague (Den Haag), Amsterdam Utrecht, and Hilversum. But we also have host families who are located in small villages. We focus mainly on placing au pairs from Asia, but we also place au pairs from all over the world. The main goal of the Au Pair program is for cultural exchange. Au Pairs are offered an opportunity to learn more about different cultures and languages. It is an amazing experience for everyone involved and a perfect boost for personal development.
Lucy Lu and her partner, Rens, started Sunshine Au Pair at the beginning of 2012. Lucy graduated with a degree in Business English and had tremendous experience working in the hospitality industry in China; from a front desk receptionist to an office secretary. After five years, she took a gap year to experience life abroad. In the last eleven years, she built her one-person business to now, a team of ten. She started from zero and successfully established a new life in the Netherlands. Rens and Lucy have two girls who are seven and nine years old. Lucy works in our office in The Hague. She enjoys cooking, working, and outings with kids. She is the backbone of Sunshine Au Pair. She looks forward to supporting host families and au pairs with her years of knowledge and experiences in the industry, aiming to make these exchange years enriching for all.
We are glad to help you with finding a perfect match. Our procedure takes about two to three weeks.
Our goals:
. Providing great services to au pairs and host families;
. Finding excellent matches between au pairs and host families;
. Ensuring a pleasant stay of the au pair at the host family;
. Making sure that both parties (au pair & host family) are satisfied with each other;
. Familiarizing the au pair to the Dutch society and culture;
. Comply to all legal requirements for the stay of the au pair.
