Dear future Caregiver, we would like to introduce ourselves. We are a family of three, and we are looking for a Caregiver for my father Robert. My wife Janice and I manage several villas as rentals for my father. He lives in the Penthouse, and we live in a separate villa. Although we all live on the same property, we are not able to spend as much time as we would like with my father because of the demands of the rental business and our US business. My father is getting older, and he needs more help with his day-to-day activities, such as walking the dog, putting together his weekly medications, picking up his medicines, grocery shopping, clothes shopping, light help with cooking, and some conversation and companionship. He has a cleaning staff that cleans the Penthouse and does his laundry, but he may need some occasional help cleaning up things that he spills or drops on the ground. He does have a dog named Belinda, who is a certified service dog. He would like some help walking his dog when he's not feeling well and help with providing her with fresh water and food. He does not leave the house often, but when he does, we can help with Uber/taxi costs to take him where he needs to go and purchase what he wants to buy. He enjoys playing backgammon, cards, and listening to the radio. He forgets to drink water, and we need someone to help us remind him to stay hydrated, as being dehydrated can severely affect his health. Right now, he does receive one meal per day five days a week delivered from a home cook in town, but you may be asked to help with chopping vegetables, cutting bagels, slicing lemon slices, and other random cooking tasks to help make his other meal for him. You may also be asked to place an Uber Eats order for him, as he has trouble reading his phone. It's only a 15-minute walk to the center of the Zona Romantica from our location, but we are on top of a steep hill and while you may be able to walk into town, it might be best to call a taxi or Uber back to the villa. There are several language schools within 5 to 15 minutes driving distance depending on what school you choose. There is also a bus stop at the end of our street, and there is usually a yellow taxi waiting to take people. There are also several bus stops in town. We would love to find someone with a kind attitude that can spend some quality time with my father Robert.
