Dear Future Host Family,

My name is Domenico, I’m 24 years old, and I’m from Canada. I’m writing to express my enthusiastic interest in becoming your next Au Pair. I’m an outgoing, energetic, and caring person who absolutely loves working with children—and I’m so excited about the opportunity to join a family in Italy, experience life through your culture, and contribute in a meaningful way.

I’m amazing with kids—I naturally connect with them, and I love seeing the world through their eyes. Whether we’re playing games, going for walks, doing crafts, or just talking, I bring a lot of energy, patience, and genuine care to every interaction. I believe the Au Pair experience should feel like having a big brother or sister around—someone the kids can feel safe with, have fun with, and learn from.

I’m a very active person, and I think that helps me bring something special to the role. I’m a black belt in Taekwondo, a strong swimmer (I've completed life guard training courses in Canada), and I was certified in first aid a few years ago. I also love sports, outdoor activities, and staying healthy and fit—and I’d be thrilled to share that with your children if they’re interested!

One of the biggest reasons I want to become an Au Pair in Italy is my strong desire to learn the Italian language and fully immerse myself in Italian culture. I’m currently studying Italian and would love to improve through everyday life with your family. Living with an Italian family would give me the kind of cultural exchange and language exposure that no classroom ever could.

I’m also practical and responsible: I can drive both automatic and manual (stick shift) cars, I’m respectful of house rules, and I truly want to make your lives easier by being a reliable and thoughtful presence in your home. I hope to become not just someone who helps out, but someone you and your children genuinely enjoy having around.
