Berkhamsted is a historic market town located in Hertfordshire, England, situated in the western part of the county, about 30 miles northwest of London. Berkhamsted is known for its High Street lined with historic buildings, independent shops, cafes, and restaurants that offer a quaint and vibrant atmosphere. The Grand Union Canal runs through the town, providing scenic walking paths and water-based activities.

Overall, Berkhamsted combines the charm of rural England with the conveniences of modern living, perfect for anyone looking for a slice of countryside close to London.

As an au pair with us, you will explore our culture and language while assisting with childcare and light housekeeping. Our children, Rocco 7, Robin 5, River 4 and Reu 2, are curious and active, enjoying both educational play and time spent in nature. Your role will be to support their growth and learning in a nurturing environment. We home educate so the children are with us every day.

We aim to give you with warm experience, balancing work with plenty of time for personal exploration and relaxation. You will have your own private room, ensuring you have space and comfort to enjoy your time off.

We are seeking a friendly and dedicated au pair to join our family of six, soon to be seven.

Our ideal candidate is someone who thrives in a lively home environment and has a genuine passion for children's education and well-being. As an au pair with us, you will play a crucial role in supporting our homeschooling efforts by engaging in creative and educational play, guiding our children's interests, and thinking of innovative ways to keep them actively engaged.

Responsibilities:
- Assist with homeschooling activities by fostering a fun and creative learning environment.
- Read with the children daily to enhance their literacy and comprehension skills.
- Take the children outside daily, promoting physical activity and an appreciation for nature.
- Participate in daily exercise routines with the children to encourage a healthy lifestyle.
- Prepare healthy snacks daily, ensuring the children have nutritious options.
- Act as a supportive aide to the mother, helping with the daily management and activities of the household.
- Occasionally assist during weekends as requested.

Work Hours:
- 6 hours per day, Monday to Friday. Flexibility is required for occasional weekend support.

Requirements:
- Previous experience in childhood education, children’s activity clubs, children’s sports, or private tutoring.
- Proficiency in French or Spanish is highly desirable.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Commitment to maintaining high standards of hygiene and routine.

Acomodação de Aupair

The semi-detached home spans three floors plus an attic. It features three bedrooms, one bathroom, and a separate toilet. Inside, you’ll find a fireplace in the living space, complemented by plain walls with minimal décor in a cottage style. Outside, there’s a small garden with a decked patio.

The au pair’s room is located upstairs and includes a bed and built-in wardrobe. It features blue and white wallpaper on one wall, while the other walls are painted white, with a grey carpet. The room receives plenty of natural sunlight through a large sun-facing window. The au pair shares the family bathroom and has access to a built-in closet. The room must be maintained in its current state. It offers a relaxing and bright ambiance.
