Located in Neuchatel, just a short 20-minute train ride from our home, this course provides a fantastic opportunity to enhance your language skills while connecting with other au pairs from around the world. We are seeking a friendly, energetic, and responsible au pair to join our family and assist with the care of our two children.

Responsibilities:

Childcare: You will be responsible for providing attentive and engaging care to our children, aged 2 and 4 years old. This includes playing with them, organizing outings to the park, and facilitating fun and educational activities such as painting.
Transportation: You will accompany the children to their extracurricular activities, ensuring their safety and timely arrival.
Assistance with Daily Routine: You will assist the children with their daily routines, including helping them brush their teeth, change clothes, and get ready for the day.
Light Housekeeping: You will help maintain a clean and organized environment by tidying up the children's bedroom, bathroom, and playroom.
Meal Preparation: You will prepare nutritious and delicious lunches for all family members, ensuring that dietary preferences and restrictions are taken into account.
Babysitting: You will provide occasional evening babysitting as needed, allowing us to enjoy some couple time while knowing that our children are in capable hands.

Additional Information:

Hours: This position requires approximately 30 hours per week, with a flexible schedule to accommodate the needs of our family.

Technology Policy: We have a strict policy against the use of smartphones and TV for our children. We believe in fostering creativity, social interaction, and imaginative play, and encourage our children to engage with the world around them rather than screens.

Qualifications:

Previous experience in childcare or babysitting is preferred.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to multitask and prioritize responsibilities effectively.
Genuine love and passion for working with children.
*Having a driving license is a plus

You will have access to a comfortable and spacious private room within our large apartment. The room is thoughtfully furnished and includes amenities such as high-speed WIFI, ensuring that you can stay connected and comfortable during your stay with us.

While the bathroom is shared with the children, we maintain a clean and organized environment to ensure everyone's comfort and convenience.

Our apartment is located on the first floor of a charming building, offering easy access to all amenities. You will have the opportunity to enjoy the tranquil surroundings of our small garden, which is home to a variety of animals including horses, sheep, cats, and dogs (please note that we do not have pets of our own). This serene setting provides a peaceful retreat where you can unwind and connect with nature after a busy day.

Additionally, our home boasts stunning views of the nearby lake, providing a picturesque backdrop for relaxation and reflection. The close proximity to the train stop, just a 3-minute walk away, offers convenient access to the nearby city of Bienne, as well as other major cities in the region. Whether you're exploring the local area or embarking on adventures further afield, our well-connected home serves as the perfect base for your Swiss experience.
