Halo everyone, Nadira here!

I’m a recent graduate of Nursing Science from a university in Indonesia, currently preparing myself to work as a nurse in Germany. Alongside my German language course, I have been assisting my lecturer with various projects. Previously, I took the B1 Goethe exam in February, passing only three modules (Reading, Listening, Writing). I’m now awaiting for my exam results for the Speaking section of the B1 Goethe exam.

Since February until now, I’ve been focused on learning the German Language and engaging in some freelance work. To be honest, I plan to work in Indonesia to have experience and income. But as a worker, I have inflexible hours and often there is a one-year work contract. I’m aware that the process of arranging a position in a German hospital, visa processing, and until it’s time to fly to Germany can be quite long, possibly taking 4-6 months. So one day I considered the option of becoming an Au pair in Indonesia, Singapore, Brunei or Malaysia. For me, being an Au Pair represents a positive opportunity with flexible time, where I can practice my German/English language skills while preparing for Germany, and of course, earing additional income.

I feel like I'd make a great Au Pair because I've got a background in taking care of kids and I genuinely enjoy being an older sibling figure who can assist younger siblings in various beneficial activities for their growth journey. I believe that every kid’s a unique and special individual, which poses its own challenges for parents. With this opportunity, I hope to be involved as an older sibling who assists parents in overcoming these challenges.
