My motivation for becoming an Au Pair is mainly having a lovely year together full of learning and fun. I also look forward to take part and share our cultures and keep practicing the language of your country, and through this grow as a person.

During the school year of 22/23 I spent a lovely year as an au pair in Brussels working for a family with two kids. There was always great communication and support as well as help from the parents and we made a great team for the kids. I also really enjoyed getting to experience the culture and learning more French!

Before that, my experience with with kids was mainly my 5 years of coaching gymnastics to 6-8 year olds. With that job comes a lot of learning in termes of interacting with children and teaching. Therefore, you learn how to speak in a level that suits them and energy management during practices. From this job, I’ve also learnt that happiness and safety comes before all accomplishments.

There are typically 25 kids in the groups, and the practices are around 2-3 hours.
At summer, I also work at gymnastics camp, which is 5 hours a day for a week..
We coach each group for a minimum of 2 years, which means that we really get the opportunity to get to know each gymnast, form a great connection, and build trust.
In our coaching team we always work together and have good and frequent communication to make the experience as happy and full of learning as possible for the gymnasts. This kind of team work is something I hope to have with you as parents as well!
