Dear Host Family, thank you for taking the time to read my letter. I want you to know that I am extremely grateful for having the chance to become your Au Pair.

My name is Rebeca, I'm 23 years old and I'm from Sardinia, an Italian island. I have a 13 years old sister and many cousins, all younger than me. I have a beautiful relationship with my little sister and I am particularly good with pre-teens and teens since they are in a phase of life where they most need listening and understanding. Besides, being the oldest cousin, I always helped my aunts with the children and this taught me a lot. I think that patience, kindness and sensitivity are the keywords to educate children, be an example for them and accompany them in their growth.

I also have various experiences with children and teenagers who are not part of my family (scroll down to read them).

I want to become an Au Pair for several reasons. First of all because it is paramount to improve my English before starting my master's degree in October (so, I'm looking for a family that uses English as the first language). Subsequently because I love children, their excitement and sparkling eyes when they learn something new fill my heart with joy. Lasty because I am extremely curious to get in touch and learn about other cultures and possibly even other languages.

Important informations:
- I am vegetarian. So I am looking for a family for whom my diet is not a problem.
- I can start my stay as an Au Pair in early June and finish it in late September. I will also need to return to Italy for 3 or 4 days in July to attend my graduation.

P.S. As you may have read, I have endometriosis. It is right that you know about it, but I want to reassure you that it won't be a problem since I follow a therapy that allows me to rarely have pain and to do everything I want (except doing excessive physical exertion, lifting heavy things and cycling).
