First and foremost, I want to express my sincere gratitude for considering my application. I am thrilled to have the opportunity to tell you more about myself, my family, my interests, and, most importantly, my experiences in caring for children.

My name is Sarah, and I'm 27 years old. Currently, I am a student midwife at the Carinthian University of Applied Science.

Let me share some details about my life:

I currently reside in a cozy house located in a charming village called "Galtür" in Tyrol, Austria. Our village is a popular winter resort and a haven for hikers during the summer months. Living with me are my loving parents, Ursula and Eduard, and our adorable cat named Minka. My older brother, Armin, is pursuing his bachelor's degree at the Technical University in Vienna and occasionally visits us during holidays. My father works as a cableway machinist, while my mother is a landlady, taking care of our house-guests and apartments.

In terms of my education, I am a midwifery student, currently working towards my Bachelor's degree. I am set to graduate in September. My passion for midwifery and caring for women during pregnancy, labor, and postpartum has driven me to work countless hours with pregnant women, mothers, and their newborns. These experiences have been both rewarding and enlightening, further solidifying my commitment to nurturing and caring for others.

Describing myself, I am a responsible, honest, and open-minded individual. I actively support my family by assisting my grandmother with her household and helping my mother clean our vacation apartments whenever I can. This experience has allowed me to develop excellent household management skills.

My personality is open and fun-loving, which children seem to appreciate. I thoroughly enjoy playing games and spending time at the playground. Given my creative background, I love engaging children in art projects and other entertaining activities. I often draw inspiration from creative workshops I participated in at school, where I learned various activities like making name plates for children's rooms or crafting sculptures from salt dough. I also take pride in inventing new games to keep children engaged and entertained.

During my free time, I indulge in swimming, hiking, and spending time with friends. My passion for cooking is evident in the dishes I create for family and friends. I particularly enjoy watching cooking shows for new ideas. My specialties include delicious dishes from all over the world but also traditional Austrian treats such as "Kaiserschmarren," "Schnitzel," and "Spätzle."

On to the most critical aspect of my letter – my childcare experience. I have previously spent two years as an Au Pair for a loving family. I cared for their two daughters, who were 2 months and 5 years old when I joined them. My responsibilities ranged from preparing meals to driving the children to their activities and school. We often engaged in art projects, baking, or enjoying the outdoors at the park. Additionally, I assisted my host mother with bath and bedtime routines.

During the summer, I worked at a large children's hotel, where I cared for up to 40 children simultaneously. The children were grouped by age, with the youngest in the "Mini Club" and older kids in the "Bärenland." I attended to the needs of babies in the Mini Club, including feeding and changing diapers, while creating individualized baby programs to suit their requirements. In the Bärenland, I organized a diverse range of activities, including face painting, mini-playback shows, outdoor games, craft competitions, and more. It was both challenging and fulfilling to work with so many children of different ages and backgrounds.

Another essential aspect to mention is that I have had a driver's license since November 2014 and have gained valuable driving experience. My proficiency in driving has been honed by various driving lessons and overcoming diverse weather conditions, including snow, which is prevalent in our region. Rest assured, I am an extremely careful and attentive driver, especially when children are in the vehicle.

Lastly, I want to express my deep passion for working with children. I find joy in watching them grow, explore their surroundings, and develop their unique personalities. The opportunity to be an Au Pair is a perfect blend of my love for childcare and my desire to explore new places and cultures. I am eager to become part of your family, immerse myself in your traditions, and share aspects of my own culture with you if you wish.
