Dear Family:
It is my pleasure to write to you through this cover letter to express my interest in becoming part of your family as a nanny. My name is Rocío, I am 25 years old and I am from Argentina.
I started the University in 2018 about the career degree in obstetrics and I finished my studies in 2022. Currently, I am studying a degree in nursing too and I am working taking care of children. I have had the opportunity to work with families in the past, which has contributed to developing my ability to care for and educate children in a loving and respectful way. The most recently one is about a little 6 years old boy called León. I work from monday to friday in the morning and sometimes I work at the weekends taking care of other children too, just in cases. The routine is very simple; when I arrive at León's house, I wake him up, I prepare breakfast and I help him to do his homework. Meanwhile, I wash the dishes, I organize the stuff, I prepare the school uniform and I preparate lunch before going to school. My working day finishes when I leave him at school.
Some days, when the father needs me, in the afternoon, I am also taking care of two little girls, one of them is 6 years old and she is called Julieta and the other kid is 3 years old and she is called Alfonsina. In this job my duty is being in charge of the girls and playing with them. Basically, we sing, watch movies, play to hidden and seek, I prepare them tea time, we eat gelly and I help them to take a shower before her father comes on to the house.
After work, I go to my house where I live with my family, which is composed by my father Fabio, my mother Norma and my siblings, Agostina and Guillermo; by the way, I am the youngest sibling. What is more, we have a dog called Bonnie.
About me, in my free time, I like going out with friends to drink coffee; organize some trip to the mountains or the beach; I like watching tv series and movies; I like reading books; I like listening to music and singing loud while I cook; I like reading things about my career, always is good to keep learning; I consider myself a true Baby Yoda fan, since I was young, once I watched the star wars saga and I really like it, so when the tv serie "The Mandalorian" started, i love it, especially the Baby Yoda character. I love going to the stadium with my dad and brother to watch football, we are Club Atlético Tucumán fans and I love going to the cinema.
When I finished my secondary school studies, I was sure that I wanted to study any career about medical health and I saw myself interested in the human development from the conception, so I decided to study a degree in obstetrics. At University, my first contact was with new borns.
Since I was a little girl, I always wanted learn english, but in the primary school, I have a random choise and I had to study french as language. While I studied french I also learnt english because I really liked it, so I Iistened music in english, I watched movies with english subtitle and everything about english I studied, that is what allowed me to become interested in their culture and write this letter.
With my studies and my childcare work experience, I consider, I would be an good applicant to the au pair job because, I am a good, confident, respectfull, extrovert, patient, organized, funny and proactive person. I would like, a lot, live this experience in other country and learn others traditions, habits, language and the culture.
