To whom it may concern,
Hello, My name is Chaza, although people just call me Chaza. I am 21 years old and I am from Kenya and Antigua and Barbuda. If I were to describe my personality, I would say I am a cheerful, focused, caring, empathetic, adventurous, hard-working, and patient Individual. I have two younger siblings ages fourteen and eight, and we have a very close relationship. I live with my single mother in Nairobi, Kenya. I went to school in Kenya, until 2018 when I started and finished Highschool in Costa Rica. I attended one of the United World Colleges, where I completed the International Baccalaureate program. The International Baccalaureate program is a 2 year very rigorous pre-university curriculum, equivalent to the British ‘A’ Levels. Besides the academic goals, it gives individuals a series of skills such as Time management, communication skills, and in-depth research skills.
My hobbies consist of; Reading, Playing musical instruments (like Piano, Ukulele, and Saxophone), Baking, Cooking, Listening to music (I am always open to listening to new music), and Learning Foreign languages ( I am quite keen on improving my Spanish at the moment, but I would definitely like to pick up other languages along the way, pet-care, painting, singing, traveling.
Hopefully, during this time I will be able to find opportunities to do language immersion. I believe that becoming an AuPair could impact me a lot. I am interested in culture, more specifically how different people's cultures are. By becoming an Aupair I will be exposed to people who live different lives from mine, have different interests from mine, and possibly different cultures from mine, which I think may help me grow into a more enlightened individual.
I chose this particular country as my future host country because one of my passions consists of traveling, and I have not been able to explore this country as much as I would have liked. Being hosted in this Country may bring various opportunities for me to explore, try new and exciting things, such as local cuisines, and meet and socialize with locals, which will definitely impact me as a person.
