Hello! My name is Charlotte, and I’m originally from the UK. I’m currently working as an Au Pair in Brisbane, where I care for four wonderful children aged 2 to 11. My role is varied and rewarding — from school runs, homework support, and household routines, to walking the family dog, organising after-school clubs and daycare, and helping to keep everything running smoothly at home.
Each of the children I care for has additional needs, including ADHD, autism, and anxiety. This experience has given me valuable skills in supporting children with a wide range of needs, adapting to different personalities, and creating calm, structured environments. I am also confident in safely handling and administering medication. I am currently very happy with my host family however I am open to exploring different areas and therefore would be open to looking at placements beginning after February 2026. Weather it be short or long term! I am very flexible!
I graduated in the UK with a degree in Primary Education and became a fully qualified primary school teacher in July 2025. Over three enriching years of study and training, I worked with children across all primary age groups — from nursery to Year 6 — gaining practical classroom experience in lesson planning, delivering engaging activities, and supporting both academic progress and emotional well-being.
Childcare has always been central to my life outside of study too. I play a big role in helping care for my 10-year-old younger brother and often support my wider family, who have many young children. These experiences have shaped me into a patient, empathetic, and nurturing caregiver who builds strong bonds with children.
I am confident around animals (I grew up helping care for our family dog ?) and hold a full UK driving licence with my own car, making me flexible and independent. Since the age of 16, I’ve also worked part-time in a range of roles, which has developed my strong work ethic, time management, and sense of responsibility.
I love being an Au Pair because it allows me to combine my passion for childcare with my curiosity about new cultures and ways of life. For me, it’s not just a role, but an opportunity to grow personally, gain meaningful experience, and create lasting memories with a family abroad.
As your Au Pair, I would bring warmth, energy, and a genuine commitment to your children’s happiness and well-being. Whether it’s helping with daily routines, organising fun activities, or being a consistent and caring presence, I would treat your family with the same love and respect I give my own.
Thank you for considering my profile. I would be truly honoured to become part of your family’s journey, and I look forward to the chance to create a positive and memorable experience together.
Warm regards,
Charlotte
