I am a recent graduate from the UK with a degree in Primary Education. In July 2025, I will officially receive my Qualified Teacher Status (QTS), marking the end of three enriching years of studying and working with children across all primary age groups — from nursery to Year 6. Now, I’m excited to take the next step in my journey by becoming an Au Pair and Nanny, combining my passion for childcare with my love of learning about new cultures and ways of life.
Throughout my degree, I completed numerous placements in a range of school settings, gaining invaluable hands-on experience supporting children’s learning, social development, and emotional well-being. I’ve planned and delivered creative, age-appropriate lessons and adapted activities to meet individual needs — skills that I know transfer seamlessly into a home environment.
Outside of my professional experience, childcare has always been part of my everyday life. I play a key role in helping to care for my 10-year-old younger brother and often support my wider family, who have many young children. These experiences have helped me develop patience, empathy, and a natural ability to form strong, nurturing bonds with children. I’m also very comfortable with pets — we have a family dog who I help look after daily — and I hold a full UK driving licence with my own car, which allows me to be flexible and independent.
I’ve worked part-time since the age of 16, which has given me a strong sense of responsibility, a good work ethic, and excellent time management skills. I pride myself on being dependable, calm, and adaptable — qualities that are essential when caring for children in a busy household.
What draws me most to the Au Pair experience is the opportunity to continue doing what I love — caring for and supporting children — while stepping out of my comfort zone and becoming part of a new culture and community. I’m not quite ready to step straight into a full-time teaching role after university, and I see this as a meaningful way to build on my experiences, grow personally, and make lasting memories with a family abroad.
As your Au Pair, I would bring warmth, energy, and a genuine commitment to becoming a positive and supportive influence in your children’s lives. Whether helping with homework, organising fun activities, or simply being a consistent and caring presence, I would treat your family with the same love and respect I give to my own.
Thank you for considering me. I’d be truly honoured to become part of your family, and I’m excited at the thought of learning from one another and building a wonderful experience together.
Warm regards,
Charlotte.
