I believe I qualify for childcare work because of my prior experience. Between the age of 15-18 I nannied for four children. They were between the ages of 0 to 9. Throughout high school I babysat on the weekends, but during the summer I often worked full time. I did many jobs in the family, from wrapping Christmas presents until midnight, going to a reading camp with one of the boys, helping out during the moms wedding, continually cleaning and organizing, and going on long camping trips with them. During this time period I also sometimes babysat for another family with three kids aged 4-10. At 17 I then lived in Switzerland for 4 months with a Swiss family. I had never met them before, but they were the family of friends of my parents. It was not an official au pair setting, but more of a host family. However, I did help a lot with taking care of the two children, aged 3 and 6 years old. When I was 18 I moved to Paris, France and au paired for a French family with a 14 year old boy. I helped with his homework, English, and cooked/cleaned with the family. Lastly, in 2022/23 I au paired for a Spanish family in Madrid, Spain. I took care of a 6 year old girl and introduced her to English. I am currently 25, but feel very comfortable taking care of kids of all ages from families with various backgrounds. I love helping families out to make their lives easier and enjoy being a part of the family. For some years I have wanted to live in Australia, and am excited to learn about the culture and country!!
